Changing Your Meal Plan

Students dine in the Harper Dining Center

The process for changing a meal (food) plan is the same regardless of a student's housing arrangement while at the university or their class standing. Students are able to change their meal plan from the plan start date until the sixth day of classes. You can find more information on meal plans on the meal plans webpage.

Students have until 11:59 p.m. on January 29, 2024 to make changes to their meal plans.

Meal plan changes may result in a change in cost reflected on your student bill. You may not see your meal plan charge update until as late as February 9, 2024.

Changes to your existing meal plan can be made following these steps:

1. Access the housing portal or copy and paste: https://go.unl.edu/housing-portal into your web browser.
2. On the housing portal homepage, select the Meal Plans – Check Your Balance/Swipes or Add Options button.
3. Complete the form until you reach a confirmation page.
